Engine systems should be drained and flushed if necessary, chemically treated to remove old rust and scale deposits before treatment can begin. Product is initially dosed into the cooling system at 8 litres per ton of cooling water(clean system). To dose into existing system start with at 8 litres per ton of cooling water and keep adding until a pH above 9.7 is reached.To maintain a nitrite level of between 1 500 and 2 000 ppm colour indicating system turns the solution clear/yellow when the pH falls below the safe level of pH 9.6. Overdosing is not harmful to the system. Add the product to maintain a pH between pH 9.7�10.75 the solution will be bright pink to plum colour depending on the existing water quality.
